Filed in Office of State Corporation Commission of New Mexico August 25, l975 ARTICLES of AMENDMENT TO THE ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION OF THE CITY OF THE SUN FOUNDATION We, the undersigned, do hereby certify that these Amended Articles of Incorporation are to supercede any previous issues. ARTICLE I - NAME The name of this corporation is: CITY OF THE SUN FOUNDATION ARTICLE II - PURFOSE The general objectives and purposes of this Corporation shall be: 1. The establishment of a community adjacent to Columbus, New Mexico, for those who have a mutual interest in the objectives of the Foundation and wish to become resident-members or associates of the Foundation in accordance with the By-Laws. 2. So that the people residing in the community may live in a healthful climate and environment where they may pursue the methods of gardening and horticulture which best suit their inclinations. 3. So that the residents living in the community can create and live in an environment where the highest Christian principles of brotherly love, unselfish service to one another, and cooperative endeavors, will be a 'way of life' to them, in accordance with generally accepted New Age teachings. 4. To print and distribute bulletins, lessons or other educational materials in pursuance of these objectives and purposes. 5. To do all other lawful things necessary, suitable, convenient and proper, for or in connection with, or incidental to, the accomplishment of any of the purposes or the attainment of any of the objectives hereinabove, or hereafter set forth; and in general to exercise any and all powers which it may now or hereafter be lawful for the Corporation to exercise under the laws of the State of New Mexico. ARTICLE III - ADDRESS The address of the corporation shall be P.O. Box 356, Columbus, Luna County, New Mexico, and the name of the agent for the corporation and in charge thereof, upon whom process against the Corporation shall be served is: Rev. Wayne H, Taylor, Founder-President. ARTICLE IV - EARNINGS The corporation will not afford pecuuiary gain, incidentally or otherwise, to its members or others. No part of the net earnings (if any) of the corporation shall inure to the benefit of or be distributable to its members, trustees, officers or other private persons except that the corporation shall be authorized and empowered to pay reasonable compensation for services rendered and to make payments and distributions of money in furtherance of the purposes set forth in Article II hereof.
